The focus is on support with basic care, professional nursing measures and personal, proactive health support. Our nursing approach is resource- and rehabilitation-focused: existing abilities are maintained and strengthened and, where possible, regained.
We take into account your health situation, your existing abilities and your personal goals. Our aim is to help you maintain your independence for as long as possible, identify changes in your health at an early stage and provide care tailored to your individual needs.

Financing care abroad within the EU
German care allowance in Tenerife – what financial support is available?
Even during a longer stay or permanent residence in Tenerife, German Pflegegeld may continue to be paid, provided that entitlement to benefits from the German long-term care insurance remains in place. We explain which amounts may be available and what you should consider when financing your home care.
What is German Pflegegeld?
The monthly amount depends on the recognised care grade. From care grade 2 onwards, Pflegegeld may be paid if the relevant legal requirements are met.
Benefits under the German long-term care insurance system, as of 2026. Having a recognised care grade alone does not automatically guarantee entitlement to benefits during a stay abroad.
Can Pflegegeld be used to help finance our services?
Pflegegeld is paid directly to the person in need of care. If entitlement continues, it may also be used during a stay in Tenerife to help finance privately arranged home care.
Our home nursing services are arranged and billed privately. Pflegegeld can be used to help cover these costs. However, this does not constitute direct reimbursement of our invoices by the German long-term care insurance.
Depending on the scope of services selected, an additional private contribution may be required.
Additional financing option
Verhinderungspflege
If home care is usually provided by relatives or another private caregiver and they are temporarily unable to provide this care, Verhinderungspflege may be available.
Since July 2025, Verhinderungspflege and short-term care have shared a combined annual budget. In 2026, this amounts to up to €3,539. Any benefits already used during the calendar year reduce the remaining available amount.
Under certain conditions, professional replacement care in Tenerife may also be eligible for reimbursement. Whether and to what extent costs can be reimbursed must be clarified individually with the responsible long-term care insurance provider.
What should you clarify in advance?
To help you plan your home care in Tenerife reliably, we recommend clarifying the following points in advance:
Ask your long-term care insurance provider whether your Pflegegeld will continue to be paid during your stay or residence in Spain.
Ask whether Verhinderungspflege or other benefits may be available in your individual situation.
Based on your individual care needs, we can work with you to determine an appropriate scope of care and discuss the expected private costs.
Legal notice: The information provided refers to the German long-term care insurance system and is intended for general guidance only. Entitlements under private long-term care insurance or cross-border insurance arrangements must be assessed individually. Reimbursement of our services cannot be guaranteed. The applicable legal provisions and the decision of the responsible insurance provider apply.
