Costs & Financing

What costs can be covered?

Our acute and transitional care is generally arranged and billed privately. However, depending on your personal insurance and care situation, there may be financial support or reimbursement options available.

01

German Pflegegeld

If you have a recognised care grade of 2 or higher and your entitlement to benefits continues, German Pflegegeld may also continue to be paid during a stay in Tenerife.

Pflegegeld can be used to help finance our privately agreed care services. However, this does not constitute direct reimbursement of our invoices by the German long-term care insurance provider.

02

Verhinderungspflege

If a person in need of care is usually supported by a relative or another private caregiver and that caregiver is temporarily unable to provide care, replacement care may be required.

Under certain conditions, benefits from the German long-term care insurance system may also be available during a stay in another EU country. This can be particularly relevant when our services temporarily replace care that is usually provided by a family member.

03

Private health insurance & assistance

Depending on your insurance plan, the scope of cover and the medical or nursing necessity of the services provided, reimbursement may be possible through private health insurance or applicable assistance schemes.

Whether and to what extent services provided abroad are eligible for reimbursement depends on the individual insurance terms and the applicable assistance regulations.

Our recommendation

We recommend clarifying any possible entitlement to benefits or reimbursement as early as possible before care begins with the responsible long-term care insurance provider, health insurer or assistance agency.

We would be happy to discuss the scope of care you require so that you can estimate the expected private costs in advance.

Note: The information provided is intended for general guidance only and does not constitute a binding confirmation of benefits or reimbursement. Our services are billed privately. Post-hospital transitional care under Section 39e of SGB V is not the same as the home-based transitional care we provide.
